A sleek, long limousine slid past the gates of Wellington Academy and pulled into the circular driveway in front of the enormous mansion they called a school. The gravel crunching underneath the wheels. It wasn't uncommon for a limo to pull up in front of this school - of course it wasn't. This was Wellington for heaven's sakes. Named one of the top prestigious secondary schools in the United States. It wasn't uncommon for the kids to show off their extremely heavy back accounts either. And for one girl - that was one of the things she definitely wasn't shy of. A girl sitting in the back, pushed back her black sunglasses onto her golden blonde hair. "Great, we're back to the same routine as the last three years....." she thought as she waited for the door to open. Her chauffeur ran over quickly knowing how much she hated being kept waiting and what a vile temper she had. once it had opened, she pushed her glasses back onto her face, reached over for her purse and stepped out. At first, all you could see was her small foot, in black heels. Then her tanned, perfectly long legs and finally, she - the queen, Alicea Scotts - came out.
She surveyed the school for a minute, ignoring some of the freshmens trying to see who she was. they'll learn soon enough. Flicking her gold hair back, Ali started walking up the stairs, her shoes clicking on the cement of the stairs. She was dressed in a short denim skirt and a white tank top. School didn't officially start until tomorrow, meaning she could dress however she wanted today. The rules didn't apply today, or else she'll end up breaking two of them as soon as she set foot on campus. This was the day she could really make guys drool. Besides, her skin was tanned and she had lost a few pounds over the summer. She still had the perfect beach body and she planned to keep it. But she never had to worry about her weight, she was naturally petite unlike some people...
She didn't even offer to help whatever his name was. He could handle her excessive amount of luggage by himself. She had more in the lounge too having sent it up earlier. She walked through the open door and smiled a pearly white one at the secretary at the desk. "Scotts, Alicea," she said. She didn't expect what came out of the secretary's mouth next though. "Sorry.... you might have to wait a while. We've had a small dysfunction in our system this year. Everyone is to wait in the lounge or in here until we get it sorted out. You'll only have to wait a hour." Of course, Ali, who always had a nasty temper, and a very low patience level, just smiled despite what she was feeling. "Thanks...." she muttered before turning on her heel to look at the chaotic scene. She hadn't even noticed it when she walked in, expecting to be ushered into her room quickly. But no, of course she had to wait. Her of all people.
A glint flickered behind her midnight blue eyes, before she kicked a few lowlife freshmens off the couch. Pointing at the space beside her on the couch and the ground below it at her chauffeur, she opened her cell phone. She heard a heavy thud from her luggage but she didn't even look up. Only muttering another thanks to him. He left soon, she knew this because she could hear his footsteps leave. She soon tuned out everyone's noise as she looked at her screen, reading the zillion welcome back messages she had received, once again feeling lucky to be back here. Her parents had refused to let her come here after the shooting. But she had always been the persuasive one and she down right refused to go to another school so late in her education. Besides, she was graduating this year, so they shouldn't really care. She had assured them she wasn't even at the party and she hadn't made fun of anyone - flat out lies. She never missed a party and seriously? She was the queen of mean. She was the one who had made them show up in bathing suits, the one who was behind the gum idea, the switching of alarm clocks. She just wished they would get the message and leave already. At this thought she looked up again and saw the same scholarship faces again. And..... was it possible? Even more?
A look of pure disgust waved over Ali's flawless face before she reached into one of her bags, pulling out a water bottle with what looked like water inside. But of course, it wasn't. Vodka was perfect to hide from the teachers who never expect her to drink of all people. But hey, she was almost wasted considering how much was left in the bottle. She just hide it extremely well. Besides, at the little party she was holding tonight in the rare section of the library, she would get a wee bit more drunk. Taking a small sip, she barely cringed at the bitter taste. Thinking that nobody would notice the total trick. But of course, one of her..... extremely good friends knew the entire thing and Ali felt like she was being approached by someone....

“I don’t care, I’m still going..”
The dry tone of Jason Worrett came solidly off his tongue. His parents had surprised him yet again. Usually they buckled to anything and everything he wanted, with few exceptions, and this was one of them. All because one of those stupid lowlife scum had to go and pull a gun on a football player. What were the days coming too. If they would just keep them out, none of this would be happening.
There is no way we are going to let you go back to that delinquent school, it’s out of the question” Of course, whenever his father said it was out of the question, it always meant that he was close to cracking and needed something to reinforce his decision.
And he was correct as always. Jason seemed to always find a way around his parents, and everyone else for that matter. To him, manipulative was child’s play. With only a few more words, his case was solidified and his return to Wellington was secure. He could care less that his parents were worried, he was smarter than them. He knew nothing would happen.
He knew who he was following all the way to the gates. Too many people came and went in Limo’s, it was all over rated, but she did always know how to go in style. Jason however still preferred to drive himself. His little way of showing off. His car wasn’t even street legal, but all he needed was his plates to ward off cops, no one would dare pull him over…
Ok, he had waited long enough, he was getting impatient and he was not going to be beaten to the school by her this year. With a quick acceleration he was gone. No one ever seemed to want to go as fast as him, and that was what made it fun. He had been warned several times not to weave in and out of the traffic, but really, who was going to stop him?
It seemed like no time later he was pulling into grounds of the mansion. Much too quick of a ride he thought as he parked, resisting the urge to spin rocks at some of the other cars around. They were all rich, but none of them even came close to his baby. He had the safest spot too. Ever since a little prank his Sophomore year when some of the upperclassmen got the idea to go and demolish three of the freshmen’s cars, the school had added a couple extra security features. Needless to say, no one would even be able to get close to his.
He remembered every other year the sound of his own feet clambering on the floor up to the front desk, but this year it was drown out by a horrible racket. He looked around. “What the hell” he mouthed, trying to distinguish faces from the crowd. They were being over run?! So many new faces, just the sight of their close gave their identity away. Schollies, those that didn’t deserve to be in the same vicinity as him, and they were to be going to the same school. This is why Jason had almost not come back this year. He didn’t care about the shooting, but when the scum of society were being taught at the same place as the elite, there was something wrong with that picture.
He almost spat at the secretary when she told him he had to wait. He had never waited before in his life, but he was able to keep himself in check. He turned around to continue scouting the mob… he felt discussed. He glanced over into the decorative mirror hanging in the hall. His appearance screamed perfection in every way, even though he wasn’t after that effect as much. Not so much his close made him stand out, but his physicality. Even though he didn’t play sports, Jason took much pride in his physique. He was well toned all around, muscular yet sleek. He wore a name-brand tee and the best genes money could by. His jacket was unique, and screamed for attention, yet caused a silent awe.
In the mirror he caught a glance of a familiar face, quickly covered by another body. He turned around and started towards her. He saw here take a drink out of here water bottle and noticed the slight expression that came over her face. “So early in the morning Ali?” His voice escaped his lips, traveling through the other sources of sound and strait to the target. He couldn’t resist picking on such a cute face. Cute everything for that matter he thought as he continued to make his way toward the couch. Her eyes met the brilliant green of his, and he continued to walk and stare, wondering how long it would take her to smile at him if he kept a straight face.

Alicea was itching for a dirty little habit of hers and she was positive any senior on campus would have some. Unless they were a scholarship, then of course they would report her. But like the staff could kick her out. She was a legacy, practically royalty at Wellington. Her parents had donated some million to the school last year, they would get sued if they kicked her out and she was positive she would never send her kids here after that. Wellington forced people to grow up, not that most people grew up quick before they came here. Most had been left with their nannies and their servants at an early age and being at boarding school was just like being sent away again. That was her life. Most people would say she had a fairytale childhood, but what people saw on the outside, was far from true. Apart from being left alone to grow up by herself, what made it all worse was that her parents still tried to baby her on the phone from whatever continent they were on. She just wished they would leave her alone.
But hey, if she ever had kids, they would never come to Wellington. This school... did things to you. Before she came here she was already sneaking wine out of her parents bar. But once she got to Wellington? She got drunk practically every week-end, started her habit of smoking from time to time whenever she was nervous and though not a lot of people knew, she had gotten high more than once. She was a pure skank - she danced on tables, made out with guys she hardly knew, wore risque clothes, and so forth. She skipped class, rarely handed in her homework and yet, she had one of the highest grade point averages in her class. Just on the strength of her tests. She was an example of why they had let those scholarships in. Because they needed to reform her, make her more goody goodish, live up to her family name. Sorry, no can do. Ali did what she wanted to do, whenever she wanted to do it. And the teachers had never rebelled against that knowing it was battle they were sure to lose, but they had schemed by themselves, sick and tired of what she did. And look at where we are now....
Her phone rang for a moment and she looked at her tiny screen to see it was her mother calling. Great.... she wasn't going to pick that up, s she let it ring. But for the first time that day, she heard somebody address her, which made her lift her head up to see who it was. Her ice blue eyes seemed to melt a little when she saw who it was and a small smile crept up on her face. Who else would she see first but Jason Worrett. Yes the Jason Worrett. Who happened to mean a lot more to her than it seemed.....
"Jason!" she exclaimed loudly, ignoring the freshmens who looked at her strangely because nobody seemed to be around. She quickly hopped off from the couch and threw her arms around his neck, giving him a huge hug. Ali was always small, and at 5"4, she was used to be one of the smallest kids around at a party or something. She resembled a porcelain doll sort of, from her really petite figure to her pretty face. But despite all that innocent angel like appearance she had, those who got to know her well realized there was a lot more than meets the eye. She was known around her dorm as being a diva, a big flirt, a b*tch.... and so forth. But once again, nobody even thought of that when he had one of the hottest girls at the school hugging him. Tight.
She gave him a small peck on his cheek, before releasing him and standing before him. Well, actually, he was kind of standing before her... Everyone around Ali got used to the fact that however good she looked, she always wound up intimidating them, making her seem taller than she actually was. Those who had actually returned would probably think something was brewing between the two of them. I mean, the King and Queen getting together right? That would make complete sense. Alicea hated being stereotyped, meaning she dated the odd kids here and there. Her latest ex-boyfriend, [umm, let's call him Edward] Edward, had been dumped after the shooting. And after Ali had finally hooked up with Jason. But the next day they were sent home and she hadn't seen either of them for an entire summer. And now, here she was was, fussing over... rather tipsily, the guy she cheated on her boyfriend with.
She smiled flirtatiously at him. "Of course this early. I had nothing else to do on the plane ride here or the drive. And nobody noticed, apart from you," she said, her voice laced with a slight drunken tone clouding over her sort of British accent. She had lived in England for a good seven years when she was younger before moving back to her home in Kentucky. And she had moved around a lot more than that giving her a mixture of accents from all over the United States and Europe. It just made her more irresistible than she already was. She started to lead him back to where she was sitting before. Nobody would of dared to take her seat. "It doesn't matter anyway. The teacher's don't even notice. They have more problems to worry about than their seniors getting drunk on the first day of school. Want some? I have some left," she offered.
This was better than waiting alone for sure. At least she wouldn't have to wait completely bored. She would have Jason there to keep her company and soon, more of the small and powerful elite of Wellington would grace their presences too. As he sat down on the coach, Ali just sort of sat on his lap. It wasn't as if she weighed four hundred pounds and was crushing him underneath her. To him - she probably felt like a feather. After all, everything about her was petite. That was what most guys like about her. She was like their little doll. But that vision quickly ended for most of them.
She was in a rather confusing position as of now. She had serious feelings for Jason, even after not seeing him for two months. But she still had feelings for Edward whom she dated for a year. Everything was just sort of messed up in her head right now. She flirted, not a lot, but enough. She wasn't even close to one of he close friends - Annabelle - who flirted with every guy that passed her and met her approval. But she was faithful, apart from that night. It wasn't as if she could talk to anyone about it. They all thought she was perfect, and therefore, have perfect thoughts. Have a perfect mind. But everything inside of Ali was a complete mess. But right.... she was with Jason. that sort of helped her make her troubles go away.
She smiled at him, before standing up and straightening her short skirt. She reached over and grasped Jason's hand and sort of tugging at him. "Come on, let's get out of here. It's too chaotic to stay in here for too long."

Jason looked into those amazing blue eyes and smiled. He knew there was more to this girl than her looks and history told, and if he was willing to stop and think for a second he knew he was willing to figure her out.
He followed her to the front doors and out onto the sloping lawns of the magnificent mansion. It was a beautiful day, hardly a cloud in the sky and the sun shown on their skin warming them from their first step outside. In contrast there was a cool breeze, slightly rustling the leaves on the trees, countering the heat in order to create such perfect weather.
He could feel his hand on hers. Her soft, smooth skin felt almost like nothing in his hand. He fought with himself for an instant. His friend, Edward… well Edward had been his friend up until he had fount himself and Ali together. Jay had the feeling that nothing was going to be simple from now on. Edward had been on his mind a lot lately. Usually whenever Ali entered into his subconscious, and that was quite a bit. He had been meaning to ask if she had received his messages over the summer, but seeing as she had never gotten in touch with him, he highly doubted it. He was fool to have tried anyway, Jason had no clue where she went over the summer besides home. Some vacation or such must have gotten in the way, yeah, that was it.
They ended up on a path, paved perfectly with detailed concrete and surrounded by trees. It was almost like a park, and most of all there was no one around mind the very occasional passers by. He also wasn’t sure if he wanted to bring up what had happened at that party so long ago. His feelings were so strong, but he was apprehensive about exactly how she felt.
Taking a breath of fresh air he sighed, glancing sideways at her, and then around at the surroundings. He nodded and urged her to explain the reason they were out walking alone together. His pulse was rollercoastering as scenarios came in and out of his mind on how this situation would pan out.
He had broken up a relationship and he knew it. Ed and Ali had lasted a year, maybe longer. Jason knew a lot more about Ali than even she believed, having been Edwards confidant and friend. He felt bad, like he had stabbed him in the back, though every time he looked into those shimmering blue eyes his mind and heart melted and he was struck semi-dumb to all guilt he possessed. But the thoughts still remained. He just needed to make heads or tails out of it all.
“So…?” He asked, trying to draw her intention from her.

Ali sighed as she walked hand in hand with Jason outside. She was a hopeless romantic. And sure she probably thought a first hook up would be more..... romantic than upstairs at a party and while she was cheating on her boyfriend.... but hey? Who knew how these situations would be like? She too, was silent, lost in her own thoughts, and she sort of stared blankly at the scenery. That was the problem with anyone she felt for. She completely lost her mind while she was around them. It was Edward who she had completely fell head over heels for. It was for him she had done so many things for. It was for him she had even gone camping with! And she seriously thought they were going to together for practically forever. But of all people, Jason - his best friend - had pulled that dream from underneath both of them.
No, she wasn't blaming anything that happened on Jason. It was partially her fault too. She could of tried to make it stop, could of just sat there and ignored Jason, and when Edward returned with their drinks, go upstairs with him instead of Jason. Then none of this confusion around her would of happened. But she didn't regret it. Jason was so much.... much....more than Edward. She at that moment, she felt like she should choose Jason. She was in a dilemma. She knew one of them would want answers sooner or later. Would it be Edward? Her boyfriend, best friend and safety? Or would it be Jason? New, interesting, Jay?
Ali was slowly drawn back to reality when she heard Jason calling to her. She put a lock of blonde hair behind her ear before turning her head towards Jason. Whatever had happened to them last year, would he try and forget? Or would he try and make something come of it? "Just thinking....." she muttered quietly. She looked around the area for a moment , and finding that they were completely alone, she turned back to Jason. Not knowing what was going to happen. Compared to this year? Junior year was going to be so much more...... less complex.
She stood up on her tiptoes and put her lips to Jason's. If he stopped her, she would know that he didn't want her. Know that she had to go back to Edward and pretend like nothing ever happened between her and Jay. And pretend like he never exsisted....

Her lips pressed into his and his heart began to race. Jason’s thoughts went fuzzy, but doubled in number and intensity. He loved the person behind the lips, behind the eyes. He loved Alicea Scotts and always had. But one question formed in his mind, one he couldn’t just ignore.
He opened his eyes and gently placed his hands on her torso next to her elbows and pushed back slightly, giving him a little room to breath before he spoke. His eyes connected with hers and he opened the door to her to make a decision.
“I need you to answer something for me, and I want you to think about it for at least a day, ok?” He continued. “I know why I did what I did at that party last year.” He paused for a second, looking down and then back at her. “I did everything because I love you. I have loved you all along, but never had the guts to go against my best friend, but now… everything is all messed up. I need to know how you feel, because I don’t have the heart to do this unless I know for sure.” he said, his voice calm, but his face beginning to become a little flustered.
